Lake Resources Issues Final Tranche of Placement Shares

Lake Resources NL (ASX:LKE) issued the final tranche of shares to be issued by the Company under its private placement.

Lithium explorer and developer Lake Resources NL (ASX:LKE) (Company) has today issued 7,000,000 shares at an issue price of $0.04, being the final tranche of shares to be issued by the Company under its private placement to sophisticated and professional investors (Placement). This brings the total amount raised under the Placement to $3,677,474 (being a total 91,396,850 shares). The attached Appendix 2A is issued in respect of this final tranche of Placement shares.

As a result of the shortfall of $306,306 under the Placement, the Company’s proposed use of funds in respect of the funds raised under the Placement and SPP Offer (as set out in the Company’s Supplementary prospectus dated 28 February 2020) will be amended to reduce the Company’s available working capital from $913,064 to $606,758 (assuming the SPP Offer is fully subscribed).

The Company reminds shareholders that the SPP Offer closes today, 13 March 2020 at 5pm AEDT. This announcement has been authorized for release to the ASX by Garry Gill, Joint Company Secretary.

Hazen Well-advanced Producing Battery Quality Lithium Carbonate

Clean lithium developer Lake Resources NL (ASX:LKE; OTC:LLKKF) announced today further progress towards the development of sustainable, high-purity lithium, following confirmation that Hazen Research Inc (Hazen), an independent assay laboratory, is well advanced in producing initial larger samples of battery quality lithium carbonate.

Initial samples are anticipated within 15-18 days, with more samples to follow progressively as brines are delivered and processed, according to the Colorado-based company. Hazen is conducting a thorough analysis to optimize the process for a superior product. The outcome will be beneficial as treatment is commenced of the larger samples in the near future.

Lake Resources NL Presenting at ASX Small and Mid-Cap Conference 2020

Clean lithium developer Lake Resources NL (ASX:LKE) (FRA:LK1) (OTCMKTS:LLKKF) announced today that Managing Director Steve Promnitz will present at the ASX Small and Mid-Cap Conference 2020 on Wednesday, 9 September at 10.45am AEST (Sydney), 8.45am (Hong Kong), 5.45pm Tuesday (Vancouver/ San Francisco). Elizabeth Gold Project Drilling Update

Rio Tinto and ARENA to study using hydrogen to reduce carbon emissions in alumina refining

Rio Tinto has partnered with the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) to study whether hydrogen can replace natural gas in alumina refineries to reduce emissions.

Rio Tinto will conduct a $1.2 million feasibility study, equally funded with ARENA through a $580,000 grant, into using clean hydrogen to replace natural gas in the calcination process of refining at the Yarwun aumina refinery in Gladstone.
